2009 Iowa Legislative Session is on

Broker/officer Robin Tucker attended the Cedar Rapids Association of Realtors monthly government affairs meeting this morning.

Plenty of discussion on local and state legislative issues today, including a one percent local option sales tax proposal that the City of Cedar Rapids and the Cedar Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce are working on this week for a possible vote on March 3Rd vote this year.

Plans are in the works for the March 24Th bus visit to Des Monies to visit with our legislators and visit the State Capitol. The Cedar Rapids Association and statewide members of Iowa Association of Realtors plan an annual visit the Hill each year.
