Preamble

Under all is the land. Upon its wise utilization and widely allocated
ownership depend the survival and growth of free institutions and of our

its citizens require the highest and best use of the land and the widest
distribution of land ownership. They require the creation of adequate
housing, the building of functioning cities, the development of productive

Before you know it, the Cedar Rapids Community Schools will be back in Session.

Cedar Rapids Community Schools has a couple of schools resuming next week with classes.

Here is a link to the Cedar Rapids Community Schools web site that will allows you to easily find which school district a house is in. One tip…make sure you abbreviate the street type (such as St for Street, Ave for Avenue, etc.), otherwise it will not recognize the address.

August is just around the corner and students will be heading back to schools and colleges around the area.

Drive safely and watch out for those who are tough to see: kids, bikes and motorcycles.

'Building Communities -- Bridging Continents' is 2010-11 RI theme

'Building Communities -- Bridging Continents' is the 2010-11 RI theme for Rotary International. Robin Tucker is a third generational member of Rotary International, following his grandfather, I.L. 'Irv' Tucker and his father, I.L. 'Tommy' Tucker as a member of Rotary. We have all been affiliated with the Rotary Club of Cedar Rapids, which will celebrate 100 years in Rotary in 2014, at one time or another.

As Rotarians, we work to meet The Four-Way Test of the things we think, say or do...

  • FIRST: Is it the TRUTH?
  • SECOND: Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  • THIRD: Will it build GOODWILL & BETTER FRIENDSHIP?
  • FOURTH: Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

The 2010-11 RI Theme feels appropriate is fitting for Realtors®, when you look at the Preamble of the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS ®.

Preamble
