Fine Arts Performance Venues in the Corridor may be down, but not Out

The Top 2 Venues will remain closed until further notice, due to the Flood of 2008... as the latest issue of the Corridor Business Journal mentions this week.

But, there is still plenty to do in the Corridor with various other venues. Schedule of Events in the Corridor. Our local symphony, local community theatre and other groups have relocated in Cedar Rapids to continue their tradition of excellence in our community. Catch the buzz in the Corridor.

While other areas of the country work to regroup, after natural disasters, The Corridor works to address the immediate income, employment, business, and housing needs through Jumpstart and Corridor Recovery.

Quality of Life has certainly been impacted by many in our community. One of our favorite weekly venues, Emil's Deli, in the basement of the US Bank Building has been out of commission, since the Flood of 2008. We are hopeful that David and his great staff at Emil's Deli will be back in June of 2009.

There is plenty to do in The Corridor and Greater Cedar Rapids area. For example, Sunday night several from our organization attended the GBPAC performance of Russian National Ballet in Cinderella.

Have a question or comment about the Greater Cedar Rapids area? Don't hesitate to give us a call. We enjoy the opportunity to visit with you and welcome you to our neighborhood.
