A family tradition of New Year's Resolutions

Today's reflection

LaVerne Tucker, Robin's mother and Tommy's wife, has always been a strong believer in New Year's Resolutions. As she raised her three children, LaVerne would often request New Year's Resolutions from all her guests during the family's New Year's Day dinner that she often hosts.

To break the ice, she would give a piece of paper to all her guests with the following writing on it written straight down the left side of the 8-1/2 x 11 sheet of paper...

Using the beginning letter, the guest can make a New Year's Resolution statement for each letter, by creating a sentence using each beginning letter for each resolution. By the way, she often would do the same for Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas at other holiday events that LaVerne has hosted over the years. A mother's tradition of New Year's Resolutions and Holiday cheer... one of the many Tucker family traditions celebrated over the years.
